We ask that each of you respect the others right to express their heartfelt opinions regardless of apparent differences. The aim of this Discussion Group is to help achieve a measure of understanding and acceptance, or tolerance, rather than consensus and conformity, or conversion.
Intelligent and concerned debate on controversial matters is encouraged. However, mindless, non-constructive antagonism will not be allowed and might result in suspension or banishment from this Discussion Group.
Please avoid inflammatory or seditious statements. Remember, our respective governments need to be made aware of the needs and wishes of citizens who are genuinely concerned and willing to express them. This requires courageous involvement. With a forum such as this, we can let them know constructively. There is no need to hide from them anymore. They already have the equipment and means to monitor everything we say and do anyway. In fact, it is they who seem to feel the need to hide what they do from us.
The "state" and its governing agencies are inevitable. Good, or bad, "it" won't go away because we don't like it. By educating ourselves in truth and communicating it to each other we can only hope to gradually shape it and improve it, without fear or violence, by sensible public opinion. Let us be heard! We must learn to care for "it", if we are ever to expect "it" to care for us.
